EVERYFOCAL

THE EVOLUTION OF LENS TECHNOLOGY

EVERYFOCAL is not a bifocal, trifocal,

or progressive lens.

It is a natural accommodation lens.

A NATURAL ACCOMMODATION LENS

After extensive studies of eye-lens ergonomics, frame shapes, lens designs, and fitting height, the design of EVERYFOCAL was based on the eye's natural movement from far distance to close near. The vertical position of the EVERYFOCAL design shifts based on the frame's 'B' measurement.

EVERYFOCAL has a funnel-shaped visual field comprised of substantially aspheric, lateral power bands that are vertically aligned along an essentially vertical design backbone. The design backbone is a mathematically created curvature, from our unique eye/lens interaction ergonomic model, and is based on extensive PAL fitting data and actual natural downward gaze focal length deceleration requirements.

EASE OF FITTING

PAL and EVERYFOCAL view comparison

The difference between a regular Progressive Additional Lens (PAL) and an EVERYFOCAL lens is the design. PAL lenses have an hourglass shape which gives a wide distance field, a very narrow intermediate, and a slightly wider near portion. The most common side effect of PAL lenses is blurry or fuzzy peripheral vision. This is usually most noticeable through the lower portion of the lens and to the left and right of near and intermediate zones.

Since the intermediate and near zones are wider than a PAL, the eye moves effortlessly through these zones, thus eliminating the distorted peripheral that plague PAL designs.

EVERYFOCAL PROS AND CONS

Image 1
  • • Requires adaptation period.
  • • You will experience nausea or dizziness due to peripheral waves and distortions.
  • • Navigation through distance, intermediate, and near vision is cumbersome.
  • • You have to move your head to see objects at different distances.
  • • Fitting height required.

  • • No adaptation period
  • • No peripheral swim effect
  • • Provides clear natural instinctive vision in all distances
  • • Fitting height not essential

Natural comfortable vision for all activities

With EVERYFOCAL lenses you can perform all your daily lifestyle activities with natural clear vision. No adaptation period allows you to enjoy your new glasses immediately and and gives wearers the feeling they are wearing single vision lenses, but with the performance of a multifocal.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is EVERYFOCAL Technology?

EVERYFOCAL is a new Free-form patent concept for multifocal lens designs. It provides a single vision viewing experience that delivers multifocal performance.

How is EVERYFOCAL different than a PAL?

PAL designs have an hourglass shape with a wide distance field and a very narrow intermediate with a slightly wider near portion. EVERYFOCAL designs have a funnel shape that that begins rim to rim in the distance and gradually decreases to the bottom of the frame. Since the intermediate and near zones are wider than a PAL, the eye moves effortlessly through these zones eliminating the distorted peripheral that plague PAL designs.

Why doesn't EVERYFOCAL need a fitting height?

After extensive studies of eye-lens ergonomics, frame shapes, lens designs, and fitting height, the design of the EVERYFOCAL was based on the eye’s natural movement from far distance to close near, so a fitting height measurement isn’t essential, as this is accommodated and calculated within our design algorithms.
